2012 Dos Cabezas WineWorks "Meskeoli" 750ml

150 cases produced :: Alcohol 14% by volume

A blend of all of the white grapes we grow at the Cimarron vineyard near Willcox: Viognier, Roussanne, Picpoul, Riesling, Malvasia, Muscat & Albariño. An almost sonorous, taught piano wire grade tension on the nose with monsoon wetted asphalt, jasmine, sassafrass & yellow/green citrus. In the mouth, the citrus themed vibrancy persists & resonates with super fresh melon, pear & apple qualities. The vibrant tension abides with a culinary mass, the gravity of which summer foods will fail to resist. Thai, Mexican seafood, salads featuring melons, fennel & citrus - all solid pairings.

2012 Dos Cabezas WineWorks "Pink" 750ml

Garnacha 85%, Monastrell 15%

We have designated small blocks of Garnacha & Monastrell at our Cimarron vineyard to be farmed only to make this dry pink wine. It has been reported that uncapping bottles of this wine can actually cause spring. Nearby trees will bud out & animals will suddenly feel compelled to seek mates - be warned. Looking like pale, pink gold this wine smells of wild Oregon strawberries smeared on a slab of raw grey granite. Lime zest too. While lively & tart, there is an ethereal, Adrian creamy foam quality on the tongue that satisfies without fatigue. Don't pair this wine as much as partner with it - for the duration of summer.

41% Grenache, 33% Syrah, 21% Mourvedre, 5% Counoise

Smells of bright & fresh forest-y dark red fruits. Deceptively light upon oral entry - it is sort of like one of those tiny, capsule encased sponge dinosaurs that grow 100x in water - but it is wine and this expansion happens in your mouth... It blooms on the palate with sticky, spicy red fruit & pulverized microfine tannin.

2010 Dos Cabezas WineWorks "Aguileon" 750ml

200 cases produced :: Alcohol 15.5% by volume

Deep red in the glass with concentrated woodsy, red fruit spice on the nose. Intense & surprisingly fresh in the mouth, it triggers memories of dark red/black fruit pies & pine forest explorations. Mostly Tempranillo backed up by small additions of Graciano & Mourvedre, all from our Cimarron vineyard in Cochise County. This wine spends around 24 months in a mix of French & American 225L & 228L barrels. Bottles consumed in the near future, paired with food from the grill & late summer monsoon rain/lightning shows will please. While bottles patiently set aside for fall-idays & stewy, braised meaty business will also reward.

2009 Dos Cabezas WineWorks "El Campo" 750 ml

El Campo is a blend of the entire Pronghorn Vineyard in Elgin, AZ.
The 2009 is mostly Mourvedre & Tempranillo with Petit Verdot, Grenache, Syrah, Aglianico & Roussanne.
Dusty cherries mingled with late citrus blossoms on the nose. Rustic fine grained tannin in the mouth with a persistent herbed fruit character on the palate.

Fortified dessert wine from Arizona... A unique blend of grapes combined to create a wine that is uniquely Arizona. If you close your eyes & pretend your glass is a breakfast plate you could convince yourself you were smelling pancakes anointed with Knotts Berry Farm Boysenberry syrup. In the mouth there is a velvety richness with depth. Good texture on the tongue with sensations of powedered cocoa. Long, bright sweet finish. Pairs with chilly weather, fireplaces, cigars, chesse, nuts & chocolately business.
