2009 Dos Cabezas WineWorks
"Meskeoli" 750 ml
100 cases produced :: Alcohol 14.4% by volume

Viognier 26%, Riesling 26%, Roussanne 18%, Picpoul Blanc 18%, Muscat 8%, Malvasia 4%. Pale white gold in color with aromas of cucumber, oyster shell & precisely ripe bananas. There is major volume & intensity here in the nose. Super round tactile in the mouth with a saliva inducing quality that calls out like a siren for ocean dwelling proteins. Leaves behind flavors of pickled ginger in the mouth. With an ability to take some heat, pair with foods from Asia & the American Southwest.

"Pink" 750ml
135 cases produced :: Alcohol14.4% by volume
Grenache 85%, Tempranillo 10%, Mourvedre 5%

A shy, pale copper salmon color... immediately in the glass, it smells like shaved fennel bulb, sassafras root & pink grapefruit... with patience, aromas like rose petals bloom. In the mouth, it is grounded in acidity with the complete cast of citrus fruits making cameo appearances. This wine will be a summer food workhorse - put it to work in your backyard with whatever emerges from your grill... or maybe this is a more refined breakfast wine? I could see it playing nice with eggs benedict.

2007 Dos Cabezas WineWorks
"Red" 750ml
650 cases produced :: Alcohol 14.3% by volume

In 2007 we decided not to make any Toscano or El Norte, instead blending what would have been those wines together to make this, the 2007 "Red". Mostly Sangiovese, with Grenache & Mourvedre. A very charming wine at a friendly price.

"El Norte" 750ml
300 cases produced :: Alcohol 15.7% by volume
Grenache 55%, Mourvedre 25%, Syrah 20%

This blend of Grenache, Mourvedre & Syrah smells like cherries that have been thoughtfully preserved... peppercorns are there too along with some interesting grilled fruit character. In the mouth, this wine has a cool briny, saline quality that evokes thoughts of cured meats. Leaves the tongue in a savory state. Get this in a glass next to some crispy duck or pork belly.
