The 2009 Aguileon is 95% Tempranillo blended with 3% Petit Verdot, 1% Souzao & 1% Tinta Cao all from the Cimarron Vineyard near Willcox, AZ
Deep, ripe, macerated berried red fruit in the mouth. Woodsy spice on the nose with a looming savory meat quality. Firm grippy tannins bolster what is likely a somewhat ageworthy wine.

2009 Dos Cabezas WineWorks "El Campo" 750 ml

200 cases produced :: Alcohol 14.5% by volume

El Campo is a blend of the entire Pronghorn Vineyard in Elgin, AZ.
The 2009 is mostly Mourvedre & Tempranillo with Petit Verdot, Grenache, Syrah, Aglianico & Roussanne.
Dusty cherries mingled with late citrus blossoms on the nose. Rustic fine grained tannin in the mouth with a persistent herbed fruit character on the palate.

Toscano is back!
After being assaulted by hungry rabbits during the winter of 2007, the Sangiovese vines at Cimarron have recovered & production is back up to normal levels. A blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc all from the Cimarron vineyard near Willcox.

El Norte is back too!
This version has more Syrah in the mix than El Nortes of the past... although it seems to be just as spicy as those. Typically this wine takes the longest to recover from the trauma of bottling - it is encouraging that this particular vintage tastes this good so soon.

A fortified red dessert wine, blended from equal parts Graciano, Petit Verdot & Petite Sirah - with a little Viognier to keep things interesting. The fruit for this wine came from our friend Markus Bokisch in Lodi, CA. Bottled in half bottles
